*In this workshop, we would like to explore the harmonious fusion of Alexander Technique and vocal training. Uncover the secrets of improved body awareness and posture to elevate the vocal performance of singers, an enriching journey into the synergy between mind, body, and voice.

Singers will be coached by Alexander Technique specialist Ulrich Funke and Sophie Koch for the vocal training. The 4 days workshop will close with a concert of the participants presenting the programm they’ve been working on during the preceding days and will be a good opportunity to apply the different elements they learnt during the workshop.

The main objective of this workshop is to help singers improve their body awareness and the way it impacts their voice and vocal technique in singing. The Alexander Technique focuses on improving body awareness, posture, and movement. These elements are essential for singers, as effective body posture and use are fundamental in producing high-quality vocal sound. We believe the Alexander Technique can help singers develop precise awareness of how they use their bodies to produce and project their voices. It can contribute to reducing unnecessary tensions in the body, improving posture and alignment, and enabling more efficient breathing, which is crucial for singing. *
